Media Sales & Distribution
Anthony Hall spent over 4 years in London as the Vice President of Legal and Business Affairs for Entertainment One (now part of Lionsgate), one of the world’s leading distributors of Television and Film Productions and Formats. During his time at Entertainment One he contracted most of the leading broadcasters and SVOD platforms throughout the world, from the BBC (UK, worldwide), AMC (USA), Canal + (France), ABC (US), Netflix (USA, worldwide), Amazon (USA, UK, Australia, Canada, worldwide) to ZDF (Germany), Atres Media and Antenna 3 (Spain), Sky TV (UK), RTE (Ireland) amongst many, many others. Examples of some of the ways Entertainment Advice can help you are set out below.
We can also advise on all copyright and related issues (including perfecting ‘chain of title’, something which can be overlooked and proof of which is typically required by international distribution companies and sales agents).
We also have extensive experience contracting with some of the world’s leading format companies and distributors, for famous international television formats (incl. BBC’s The Office, formats & remakes from Blumhouse, Endemol, Fremantle and many others).
We can advise and discuss with you the best way to maximise your rights, income and exploitation windows (from first window theatrical, SVOD windows, linear windows, holdbacks) and have particular expertise dealing with complex international co-productions where rights and windows may be divided up between the financiers. We also have experience concluding theatrical and television distribution agreements throughout the MENA region.
Separately we also have extensive experience exploiting music rights and distribution. Click here for further information.
