After a long wait, Saudi Arabia’s and MBC’s mega budget, long awaited, historical action film Desert Warrior, starring Anthony Mackie (of Avengers/ Captain America fame), Aiysha Hart, Sami Bouajila and the legendary UK actor Ben Kingsley, is finally being released.
This production took up a couple of years of my life whilst I was the director of legal and business affairs at MBC, and continued in my role as a consultant to MBC.
I am very proud of all the hard work my team and I put into bringing this to screen and providing a comprehensive legal and business affairs function to the producers, through many ups and down (the first production in 30 years I have worked on that actually shut down for a period due to force majeure (covid)!), and the experience gained working with many union contracts and high level talent involved in the film (SAG, DGA, IATSE, WGA) was invaluable!
